My son, who recently earned his MBA at High Point University in North Carolina, got to experience WOW when visiting the High Point University Registrar’s Office. He had several transactions that needed to be completed during his visit. When he was done he texted me “All done. These people get it!”. I got a bit more detail later and yep, I agree, they get it.
When my son walked into the registrar’s office he indicated that he needed to validate his social security number, get a copy of an official transcript and a copy of an invoice. The office administrator quickly validated his social security number and asked him to fill out a form to request a copy of his transcripts. While he was doing that, they called the accounts office for him and requested an invoice, which they printed. When my son handed in his transcript request, they handed him official transcripts and a copy of the invoice. WOW! What a great example of how various departments in a university work together to provide an excellent service experience . . . and all with a smile!
My son said the transaction took less than 10 minutes and he was on his way. I can’t say I have ever experienced that kind of service and collaboration between departments at any university I’ve dealt with. High Point University – your service definitely gets high marks for Customer W.O.W.
