I recently visited a government office where I had to go through security.   I respect the need for security, am happy that we have this protection and admire those who serve in this capacity.  They are the “Good Guys” but on this particular day, they had “Gone Bad”.  Don’t misunderstand me.   I don’t mind emptying my pockets, having my purse searched and following instructions.  I don’t even mind waiting in line to get through the process.   But for the life of me I can’t figure out why the folks behind the security counter have such a negative attitude – one that emits a clear message that they don’t want to be there and why the heck are you bothering them.  Really?  I guess they haven’t figured out that attitude matters?   Where did they find these people?  Maybe they were recent hires from the DMV.
