For many people, dealing with your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) usually results in frustration. I can site several examples over the years where lines were long, associates were rude and service was very Un-WOW. So it was a delightful surprise when I used our local DMV Express, a smaller office located in our community that provides basic services. The line was reasonable, my transaction was accurate and the associate was courteous, helpful and efficient. WOW, I thought – this is too good to be true. So I commented to the associate that I appreciated her service and acknowledged how the DMV has really change. She was very quick to say, “Oh, we don’t work for the DMV. We’re just provide this service for them.” Well, that explains it. Some things never change.
